Cassper Nyovest Launches Billiato Liquor at KONKA Party in Soweto, Johannesburg
South Africa (Soweto, Joburg) – KONKA is an upmarket nightclub and hangout for South Africa’s top celebrities and socialites. Established in May 2021 in the black township of Soweto (Modjadi Street), it has quickly become one of the country’s most popular hotspot for high class revellers, stealing the limelight from posh Sandton in the neighbourhoods of Johannesburg. KONKA gives an uplift to Soweto’s image which is often associated with proud ghetto status in music. The exclusive club brings luxury, proximity and a first-class experience for those with big pockets. Anytime you see a celebrity like Cassper announcing a party at KONKA, expect to see a line-up of expensive cars ranging from Bugattis to Bentleys in the parking lot. The premises are guarded by security guards, the facility and its interior decor which includes a restaurant are first class, the finest wine and liquor is served, and of course everybody’s favourite bottle these days is Billiato which is a symbol of wealth. This is where Joburg’s black millionaires gather, splurging like it’s the end of the world. Six figure liquor bills and receipts are not an uncommon sight in this fancy club.
On 6 February 2022, Cassper Nyovest hosted a KONKA party to launch his Billiato premium liquor in Soweto. In a promotional video, the Sunday party saw the Artist of the Decade serenaded by a bevy of beauties in orange mini-skirts around his white McLaren. He can be seen speaking on the camera while driving his McLaren at high speed: “No need to hoot, you can hear me coming”.
Later on when the sun is down, cameras turn to the party in full swing. Big Zulu was one of the celebrities who attended the show. The familiar KONKA ladies in orange can be seen making rounds through the crowd, holding Billiato bottles high in the air. With a cigar in his hand, Big Zulu thanked Mufasa for the event: “Siyabonga Mufasa Qhawe lakithi |Sikhona sizokweseka eyakwethu ingane | Desha desha sphuze Don Billiato likhona etolo emthonjeni ziyawa”
Cassper can be seen arriving for the party at night in the parking lot, disembarking from his McLaren and chatting with KONKA owner Kutlwano Pitso. Just like before, his Billiato was sold out like hot cakes: “Billiato Sold out at Konka Tonight !!! You know the story !!! You might even tell it better than me !!!”
In another video, Cassper can be seen in the open air lounge with the KONKA Manager addressing and giving motivational talk to what looks like a group of students in blue and grey uniforms.
